About Ty

Hi, I’m Ty! I’ve traveled many roads and have worn many hats before becoming a photographer. I’ve attended art school in Pittsburgh, served in the United States Air Force where I traveled the would and deployed to the deserts of the Middle East during Desert Storm, earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia, worked as an RN in Emergency Departments and at the Aflac Cancer Center in Atlanta, spent time as a digital imaging specialist at Shaw Flooring, and currently teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) for grades 2-5. My photography journey began in 2004 after the birth of my twin daughters. Throughout all of my experiences, there’s one thing that I especially love looking back on - photographs. These photographs tell the stories of my life. I love capturing these memories so that other people can relive the important stories of their lives.

When not teaching class or taking photos, I like to code, run, mountain bike, and listen to live music. I also love to eat and drink fine coffee (iced, never hot though).
