Haleigh & Trey’s Downtown Atlanta Engagement Session
Photographing Haleigh & Trey’s engagement session in Downtown Atlanta was a dream. I first met Haleigh nearly 10 years ago when she accompanied her sister, Rachel, to her bridal portrait session. She’s always been beautiful, kind, intelligent, and just an amazing person to be around and to know. If you know her, you love her, and Trey clearly loves her. You can see it, plainly, in the way he looks at her, the way he holds her hand, the way he smiles when she smiles or laughs. You can see how much she loves him for the same reasons. They fit. They’re simply perfect together.
We started their Atlanta engagement session at their gorgeous new apartment in Midtown Atlanta and we walked the streets they’ll walk every day, past the restaurants they dine at or will soon discover to be favorites. We strolled a past beautiful churches down to the beautiful Fox Theatre where we stopped to dance on the sidewalk. We stopped at an Italian cafe for a glass of wine, played in crosswalks, and casually stopped at places they’ll see every day for years to come. When returning back to the apartment to change clothes, Trey suggested checking out their rooftop – which ended up being some of my favorite images, before heading down to Centennial Olympic Park for sunset and twilight photos, many of which show the building that Trey works in for the Atlanta Hawks basketball team.
I loved that we were able to capture so many things that show their life, where they are now, places they see every day and how they fit in to them. It was a wonderful day and I had the best time with Haleigh and getting to know Trey. I can’t wait for your wedding in August! I know it will be as simply incredible as the two of you are!
